Rainwater Catchment
Available Spring 2025
Using our case study house, we’ll calculate current water use and rainfall rate to size and design a site and building specific rainwater catchment system.

-
1. Calculate Water Consumption
Using our case study house, we will determine how much water our test couple uses in a typical week. We’ll use this data to project monthly and annual usage which we will then use to size our catchment system.
-
2. Determine Local Rain Fall Rates
Using our test home’s specific site location, we ‘ll determine how much rain falls and when. We’ll then asses our catchment area and calculate how much water our system can capture and when.
-
3. System Components & Design
Review system components and how to integrate them into a new or existing building. Projected water use and rainfall data will then be used to design a site specific water catchment system.
